Seen in Surrey takes the reader through many of the towns and villages of the county, looking at interesting aspects of the places, buildings and the people associated with them; from monarchs to highwaymen and plant breeders, from Tudor mansions to village cottages. The entries appeared first, under the same title, in the Surrey Advertiser and now, to commemorate ten years of the series, are offered for the first time in book form. The texts have been edited carefully to stand on their own, and to highlight subjects and places which readers can still enjoy today.
