Dennis Turner (d.Jan 2013) was a local historian, author of many studies of the evolution of Surrey's landscape and built heritage. He was an active member of many local bodies, particularly those seeking to preserve Surrey's historical landscape and curb the undue urban development of Surrey. Amongst other organisations, he played an active part in: Surrey Archaeological Society (Secretary, 1969-76), the Surrey Branch of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (member of executive committee of the Surrey branch and chairman of Reigate & Banstead committee), Surrey Historic Buildings Trust (member of the Board of Management), and the Reigate Society (member of the Council).
This book is 135 pages with black and white photographs and maps.
