William Cobbett's famous rural rides of 1821-1832 are among the best-known and most interesting personal views of life in England under George IV. Written with a strong radical slant, they nevertheless show the writer's clear-sighted and and shrewd observations if the rural existence of ordinary people in the early days of the Industrial Revolution.
Published in 1984 by Webb & Bower. 224 pages with colour and black and white photographs.
